Have any leftover sponge? Don’t throw it away. Use it to make cute little cake pops that kids will love.
In this video, watch how to crush chocolate sponge and make a cake pop mixture adding in chocolate fudge (or truffle) sauce, some praline and chocochips. You can add in whatever you like ranging from different varieties of chocolate sauces, nuts, jams etc. Once our mixture is ready, learn the correct technique of how to roll it into a ball form. We then dip the lollipop stick into some melted chocolate and insert them into our chocolate balls. We then dip these sticks into melted chocolate to get a nice coating of chocolate around our pops and then cover it with colorful sugar balls and chocolate rice. Again, you may cover them with anything you prefer. Lastly, learn you how to pack or gift wrap these cake pops by packing it in a plastic pouch or displaying its inverted in a paper cup.
